The Blessed Fulton J. Sheen Rosary honors one of the great Catholic evangelists of the modern age—a bishop, missionary, author, and master communicator who devoted his life to bringing the truths of the Catholic faith to the modern world.

The design is intentionally dark and ecclesial. Black stained wood Hail Mary beads are paired with larger espresso-stained wood Our Father beads and deep burgundy paracord, recalling the distinctive colors of Sheen’s episcopal office while giving the rosary a restrained, traditional character.

At its heart is a Runewood-exclusive Blessed Fulton J. Sheen centerpiece, designed by us and cast in pewter here in the United States. It is paired with our Runewood-exclusive Eastern Crucifix—an especially fitting tribute to Sheen because he was bi-ritual, possessing faculties to celebrate the Divine Liturgy in the Byzantine Rite in addition to the Roman Rite. His connection to the Christian East was therefore not merely an intellectual appreciation, but part of his own priestly life and ministry.

Sheen was also renowned for his devotion to the Blessed Sacrament, faithfully making a daily Holy Hour throughout his priesthood. His extraordinary public ministry flowed from that hidden life of prayer: before he spoke to millions about Christ, he first spent time with Christ.
