DESCRIPTION

Inspired by one of Ireland's great patron saints, the St. Brigid Rosary draws upon the deep greens, weathered stone, and ancient Christian heritage of the Emerald Isle.

St. Brigid of Kildare stands among the most beloved figures of early Irish Christianity. Remembered for her extraordinary generosity, care for the poor, hospitality, and devotion to Christ, she became the foundress of the great monastic community at Kildare and one of the defining saints of the Irish Church.

The dark moss-green wood, white Howlite, Celtic crucifix, and cool silver cord give this rosary an unmistakably Irish character without becoming ornamental or delicate. It is rugged, earthy, and made for prayer.

The Green of Ireland

The dark moss Hail Mary beads were chosen deliberately for St. Brigid. Their subdued green recalls the Irish landscape in which her story took root—not a brilliant or artificial green, but the deeper colors of moss, pasture, woodland, and rain-darkened earth.

Against them, the white Howlite Our Father beads provide a striking contrast, while subtle natural veining ensures that no two gemstone beads are exactly alike.

St. Brigid of Kildare

Born in fifth-century Ireland, Brigid consecrated herself to Christ and became renowned for a generosity that could border on the astonishing. Tradition repeatedly remembers her giving away food, possessions, and anything else at hand to those in need.

She eventually founded a religious community at Kildare that became one of the great centers of Christian life and learning in Ireland. Her influence was so profound that she is remembered alongside St. Patrick and St. Columba as one of Ireland's principal patron saints.

Her life offers a distinctly Christian vision of strength: courageous without hardness, generous without calculation, and rooted in an extraordinary confidence in God's providence.

An Irish Catholic Design

The silver-toned Celtic crucifix anchors the design in Ireland's Christian inheritance. Its traditional ringed form recalls the great Celtic crosses that have stood across the Irish landscape for centuries—monuments to a faith handed down through generations.

An Italian-made medal of St. Brigid is attached beside the Miraculous Medal centerpiece, making the saint whose life inspired the design an integral part of the rosary itself.

Even the palette carries the theme: moss green, stone white, and silver-gray give the rosary the appearance of something drawn from the Irish countryside.

Built for Daily Prayer

This is not intended to be a rosary that spends its life in a drawer.

Every Runewood Rosary is individually handcrafted with an emphasis on durability and daily use. Strong USA-made 95 paracord, substantial 10mm beads, genuine gemstone Our Fathers, and premium Italian components create a rosary made to be carried, worn, and prayed regularly.

At approximately 2 oz., it remains remarkably lightweight despite its substantial appearance.

A Meaningful Catholic Gift

The St. Brigid Rosary makes a particularly meaningful gift for Catholics with Irish heritage, those devoted to St. Brigid, religious sisters, converts, mothers, those involved in works of charity and hospitality, or anyone drawn to the extraordinary Christian heritage of Ireland.

It is also a fitting companion for anyone asking St. Brigid's intercession for a faith marked by generosity, courage, hospitality, and wholehearted trust in God.
